Japanese Illustration In Situ

For anyone who doesn’t know, I’ve been living in Japan for the last 4 months. It’s been awesome for a whole lot of reasons, but one of them is being able to see illustration in use for various applications. It’s encouraging to see so much being used for ads, poster design, packaging, book covers, newspapers, and more. Here’s a little taster of what I’ve seen so far:
